  • Where are our au pairs from?

    Our au pairs come from the beautiful Southern African country of Zimbabwe. They are carefully vetted for language ability, childcare experience, and personal qualities such as kindness, responsibility, and adaptability.

  • Do you handle the visa process?

    We assist both the host family and your au pair with all the necessary documents for the French long-stay “stagiaire aide familial étranger” visa, including guidance on the host family agreement and required paperwork.

  • What happens after my au pair arrives in France?

    Once your au pair arrives, you will need to: Register with URSSAF as a private employer, arrange social security and medical insurance for your au pair, and ensure they are enrolled in French language courses if not already fluent.

  • What are my obligations as a host family in France?

    In line with French regulations, you must: Provide a private bedroom and meals, offer a stipend (pocket money) according to legal requirements, allow time for language study, and ensure fair working hours and time off.

  • What level of French do your au pairs have?

    We offer two options: A2 French or higher: ready to integrate immediately. Beginner level: enrolled in exam prep and language learning before and after arrival.

  • How do you ensure the safety and quality of your au pairs?

    We carry out reference checks and interviews to assess personality and cultural exchange readiness

  • Why choose an au pair from Zimbabwe?

    Zimbabwean au pairs bring a rich cultural heritage, strong English skills, warmth, and adaptability. Many have childcare experience and are eager to share their culture while learning from yours.

  • How do I communicate with your agency if I need help?

    You will have direct contact via phone, WhatsApp, and email with a dedicated coordinator who understands both French and Zimbabwean contexts.


  • How long can I stay in France as an au pair?

    Au pairs typically stay for 6 to 12 months, with the option of extending their contract once if both the family and au pair agree, within visa regulations.

  • What will my daily schedule look like?

    An au pair’s main duties include childcare and light household tasks. You can expect to work 25–30 hours per week (about 5 hours per day, 5–6 days a week), depending on the host family’s needs.

  • Will I have free time?

    Yes! By law, au pairs are entitled to at least one full day off per week and enough free time to attend language courses.

  • What happens if the family goes on holiday?

    If the family travels and brings you along, you are still expected to help with childcare. If they go without you, you usually remain in their home with free time or arrange your own activities, but you continue to receive pocket money during this period.

  • Do I need to pay for language courses?

    Yes, you are responsible for your own French language courses, though many families help with finding affordable options.

  • Am I covered for medical care in France?

    Yes. Your host family registers you for health coverage, ensuring you are legally protected during your stay.


  • Can I travel around Europe during my stay?

    Yes. Since France is part of the Schengen Area, you can travel freely to other member countries during your time off, as long as your visa is valid.
